Melanie A. Davis & The Madness blends Davis’ distinct writing style with elements of bossa nova jazz, folk rock circa the 60’s & 70’s, and early 20th-century country to create a unique and original blend of alternative music.

“Within a few seconds of hearing Melanie’s music, I said to myself, ‘that’s the shit I want to book!’ it was a no brainer to have her play at The Woodshop Listening Room. Her voice, the band, it is going to create a memorable night for our music fans. Don’t miss it.” – Callie Sioux owner/operator of The Woodshop.

Jesse Williams Band: Singer/songwriter/guitarist, Jesse Williams, is a mountain mama with roots grounded in Blues & Soul. Hailing from North Georgia with the deep belief that it’s best savored when simmered. Her melody medicine is an invitation of sultry vocals and earthy lyrics that explore Life’s many winding paths. These serenades are supported with guitar grooves and rhythms that play within the feeling of the Music. Honoring and offering the raw essence of Spirit as it moves listeners within.

The Woodshop | Listening Room

We are a music venue, listening room and neighborhood bar in Chattanooga known for its intimate, musical and cultural experiences. It began as a DIY music venue project back in 2015 by Daniel Pate Russell. He and many others spent a few years redesigning and remodeling an old woodworking shop with the goal of hosting musical performances. Frequent trips to Ace Hardware down the street for supplies, he met his wife and co-founder, Tyler Rozzell. Shortly after, they met Dylan Hackett, a neighbor who had been hosting underground house shows. In 2019, they opened as a bar to keep the live music alive. The Woodshop has undoubtedly matured into one of Chattanooga’s most beloved destinations. BOOK TWO The legacy of The Woodshop is continued by new owners, husband and wife, Jhett Black and Callie Sioux. Jhett and Callie Sioux are musicians, creatives, and have worked a plethora of jobs in and out of the music industry. It’s been a long and winding road of touring and hard work, but their incessant creative energy has finally found a home apart from the road. A space to serve their local community and the others out there still pounding the pavement. The Woodshop continues to host concerts, community events, and be a home to musicians and locals alike. Since opening as a bar in the midst of 2020’s shuttering, we’ve developed into a venue-style neighborhood bar that curates a homelike feeling for anyone who walks inside. Live music is in our DNA, but we’re also known for our cozy seasonal food and craft drinks menu. Between finger-licking BBQ and arguably the best local craft beer and spirits we can find, what we’ve created is a surprisingly wide selection of goods that keeps your heart warm and happy. We promise you’ll remember coming here.
