ABOUT US

Basecamp is a locally owned and operated bar and restaurant located on the north shore of downtown Chattanooga. We believe that the spirit of our city is anchored in the beauty of the nature and outdoor activities that surrounds us on all sides. It was our goal to create a space that captured and reflected the things we believe makes Chattanooga beautiful and unique. We aim to connect nature and nostalgia from the atmosphere to the taste buds. A “basecamp” is a place where adventures begin and end, a place to call home away from home. Upon arriving at our restaurant we hope all of our patrons experience that same comfort they might feel as the approach a warm campsite after a long hike or climb. We are a place that the community can gather, relax, and regroup.
Basecamp is owned by Jacob Mundy and Brett Allen. They have been lifelong friends and share a passion for the restaurant industry. Originally from the Nashville area, they moved to Chattanooga approximately 7 years ago and after experiencing everything it has to offer, quickly decided they had no interest in leaving. It has long been a dream of theirs to own and operate a bar and restaurant. An opportunity finally arose and they decided it was time to go for it. They couldn’t be more excited or proud to make a positive impact in their community through Basecamp Bar and Restaurant.
