#4 Over Easy EP Release • Saturday
They already had to reschedule once, so the Hype is even greater. Make sure to join local band Over Easy at Songbirds Foundation for their EP Release Party “Binary”. Funk-rock outfit Over Easy has quickly taken the Chattanooga, TN music scene by storm. With blazing guitar riffs and smooth melodies, their high energy performances are sure to keep anyone on their feet. As Jake Van Valkenburg from Barking Legs Theater said, “Anyone who sees a live performance from the band can hear the influences all over their sound: the ambitious progressive rock of Yes, the other-worldly jams of 70’s funk, and a dynamic sensibility for upbeat jam music.” With a wide variety of musical backgrounds and influences, the members of Over Easy have managed to create something truly unique. Their music contains a steady heartbeat of funk with the emotion of progressive rock but they can effortlessly drift between a palette of other genres. This allows the group to freely create a performance that has something for everyone. After a year of rigorously gigging around the Tennessee Valley, Over Easy quickly became one of the premier live bands in Chattanooga. They have played at Chattanooga’s Nightfall Music Series and shared the stage with The Rebirth Brass Band, Marbin, Cycles, and Funk You. They celebrated the release of their self titled EP with a memorable performance at the legendary Songbirds Guitar Museum in 2018. Since then, they have continued to perform at venues and breweries around the Southeast. Most recently, they have re-entered the studio to begin recording their sophomore effort.
This is going to be a standing only show. The Doors Open at 7:00 pm & The Show Starts at 8:00 pm.

#5 Umphrey’s McGee • Sunday
This Sunday at The Signal Umphrey’s McGee takes the stage for a rocking Sunday Night Show! After 17-plus years of performing more than 100 concerts annually, releasing eight studio albums and selling more than 3.5 million tracks online, Umphrey’s McGee might be forgiven if they chose to rest on their laurels. But then that wouldn’t be consistent with the work ethic demonstrated by the band, which consistently attempts to raise the bar, setting and achieving new goals since forming on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, IN, in 1997. After releasing their eighth studio album, Similar Skin, the first for their own indie label, Nothing Too Fancy (N2F) Music (distributed by RED), the group continue to push the envelope and test the limits. Their brand-new studio album, The London Session, was a dream come true for the members having been recorded at the legendary Studio Two at historic Abbey Road. The stealth recording session yielded 10 tracks in a single day, proving once again, the prolific UM waits for no one. The original Umphrey’s McGee played a mix of originals and cover songs, waiting just eight months to release their debut album, the cheekily titled Greatest Hits Volume III. Their initial “proper” recording, Local Band Does OK, came out in 2002, followed shortly afterward by an appearance at the first-ever Bonnaroo in Tennessee, selling more albums than any other band on the bill. The 2007 double album, Live at the Murat, earned a four-star review in Rolling Stone and a Jammy for Best Live Album.
