Eastern Kentucky runs deep in Brit Taylor’s veins. Raised in the same Appalachian soil that gave us Loretta Lynn, Keith Whitley, The Judds, and Tyler Childers, Brit carries that legacy with grit, grace, and a voice that refuses to be boxed in.
Her latest album Land of the Forgotten feels like driving a winding mountain road back home. It is honest, resilient, and beautifully unfiltered. After 18 years in Nashville, Brit has created the record she has been chasing since she first arrived in Music City. This one is personal.
Produced by her husband, acclaimed singer songwriter Adam Chaffins, the album captures her voice in its purest form. Rich. Layered. High and lonesome when it needs to soar. Low and steady when it needs to cut deep. It is country music that respects tradition while speaking directly to right now.
The songs shine a light on working class life, love, heartbreak, humor, and survival. From the rousing “Broke No More” to the epic storytelling of the title track, this collection balances toughness with tenderness. It reminds us that hard truths and bright hope can exist at the same time.
Taylor and Chaffins have assembled a who’s-who of pickers including Stuart Duncan (fiddle, mandolin, banjo), Justin Schipper (dobro, steel), Adam Wright (acoustic guitar, piano), Jedd Hughes (electric guitar), Chris Powell (drums, percussion), and Chaffins on everything from bass (bowed, electric, and upright) to high-strung acoustic guitar to background vocals.
Inspired by the country and bluegrass greats of the 80s and 90s, Brit Taylor is not chasing trends. She is standing firm in who she is.
Fearlessly honest. Appalachian to the core. Vocally commanding.
Join us for an evening of powerful songwriting, masterful musicianship, and country music done right.
