Chattanooga Zoo • Asian Lantern Festival • The Asian Lantern Festival is back with an entirely new collection of hand-crafted silk lanterns! In the Forest of Fantasy, you’ll discover fire-breathing dragons, fairies, mythical beasts, forest creatures and even Santa in his workshop! Hundreds of glowing lanterns create nearly 50 distinct scenes across the Zoo, and interactive displays and games add to the fun • Please note that indoor exhibits will be closed and most resident Zoo animals will not be visible

Outdoor Chattanooga • Map It Outdoors: A Mapping Workshop • Ever wonder how trails and waterways make it onto the maps you use every day? Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring how mapping tools and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) bring the outdoors to life. We’ll start with an Intro to GIS , where we’ll learn how spatial data and mapping technology are used to plan, manage, and enjoy outdoor recreation spaces. Then, we will have an interactive mapping session. Creative Discovery Museum • Sensory Night • For caregivers of children with sensory sensitivities, finding stress-free family playtime can be challenging. Sensory Night aims to offer a low-stimulus, enjoyable experience for everyone. This special evening provides children with sensory sensitivities and their families exclusive access to the Museum in a controlled, low-sensory environment. Overhead announcements, food smells, and other sensory inputs will be minimized. Admission is free, but registration is required.
